Honduras: Facing the Future

Every year there is a greater quantity of products that are developed worldwide, increasingly serving the needs of consumers. A need that has been observed for the last three decades is the issue of environmental impact. Progressively there are more actions that can be seen in the face of the increasing need to reduce our footprint in production, trade and consumption.

The high impact of products that are manufactured in a way that are more aware of the world’s needs, have allowed a rapid demand for those and an increasing awareness for new competitors in the market.

This year we extend a special thanks to the creativity and excellence in respect to innovations, products and services that allow us to ensure a green future. The elimination of single-use products, the development of second uses of products and the constant creativity to guide business models with less environmental impact are signs of the commitment for the tomorrow that we want to build.

In Honduras, the emergence of new products and business designs with environmental protection initiatives have achieved impacts at the level of city governments, through which Mayors and Governors are developing programs for the elimination of the use of plastic such as Roatán Libre de Plástico, socialization of city cleaning campaigns such as Is Not My Garbage But It Is My Planet and business fares to promote green innovations such as La Molécula Verde.
