Pre-qualification for the construction of Bypass in San Miguel, El Salvador
The Government of the Republic of El Salvador, through the Ministry of Public Works, Transport, and Housing and Urban Development (MOPTVDU, by its acronyms in Spanish), proposes to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the construction of Bypass in the City of San Miguel, whose Package-defined description for ease of prequalification is made below:
- Package 1 (P1-P2). Extension of the existing Panamerican Highway (CA-1) of two to four lanes from the deviarion to Moncagua km 128.31, until the beginning of the Bypass in El Obrajuelo (3.6 km). The typical cross section of this package includes: Total width of the road embankment 21.80 m., bearing width of roadway in each direction: 7.20 m (2 x 3.60 m) + (2.40 m width of outer shoulder and 1.00 m inside), (0.6 m wide of barrier type New Jersey), comprises the improvement of the 2 existing rails and the construction of 2-lane new suction, with their respective shoulders and drains.
- Package 2 (P2-P3). Bypass Construction 1. Four-lane Bypass construction from El Obrajuelo, Km 131.91 from existing AC to Hato Nuevo on the Ruta Militar (RN18) (9.4 km), including exchanger. The typical double cross section of two lanes in each direction, this package comprises: total width of the road fill 21.80 m, bearing (4 x 3.60 m width of rail) + (2 x 2.40 m width of outer shoulder) + (2 x 1.00 m inner shoulder width) + (0.6 m wide of barrier New Jersey type). Structures: 11 short bridges and 6 drains and sewers.
- Package 3 (P3-P4). Construction of Bypass 2. Two-lane bypass construction from Hato Nuevo on the Ruta Militar (RN18) to El Papalón by Km 145.38 of the existing CA-1 (8.8 km), including exchangers. The typical double cross section of a rail in each direction, this package comprises: Total road fill width 14.6 m., bearing (2 x 3.60 m wide rail) + (2 x 2.40 m outer shoulder width) + (2 x 1.00 m inner shoulder width) (0.6 m. width barrier New Jersey type). Structures: 4 short bridges and 13 drainages and sewers.
Pre-qualification documents are intended to be offered for individual packages, if a contractor wishes to be prequalified in more than one package may do so or in the grouped contract applying to Packages 2 and 3 grouped, as long as it meets the requirements to apply for each of them.
Deadline for the delivery of documents: May 8th, 2018.
