García & Bodán consolidates its presence in Central America

García & Bodán, as part of its growth and strengthening strategy in the region, has started the operations of its eighth office in Central America, betting this time for Costa Rica.

The law firm’s new office is located in the capital, San José, and will have a team of 15 lawyers; thus strengthening the firm’s human resource so as to face major transactions, no matter how sophisticated they are.

García & Bodán now has a bigger and stronger team, able to even better respond to any legal need of its clients and, at the same time, it has increased expertise within the law firm, which leads to greater quality of the service.

“We are extremely satisfied and happy with the opening of García & Bodán Costa Rica, since this creates a synergy that allows us to be able to multiply exponentially the work we have in the region, now backed by having completed our presence in the Central American isthmus. We are bringing new expertise, among them, our Managing Partner of Costa Rica, Christian Díaz, who is considered a connoisseur person in Arbitration at international level. This undoubtedly strengthens our law firm”, commented Terencio García, Regional Managing Partner.

San José was the safe bet for García & Bodán, since in addition of being the capital of Costa Rica -where the political, social and economic power concentrates in the country- it is the city where the operation of the main national and regional offices are centralized. Furthermore, San José has direct access to three more important provinces -Alajuela, Heredia and Cartago-, which together with San José make up what is known as the Greater Metropolitan Area (GAM).

“The market of Costa Rica is a sophisticated and specialized market, with first world standards due to the high foreign investment that has permeated the Costa Rican economy in the last decades. The regional offices of many of the most important companies in the Central American market, as well as “shared services” of companies at global level, are located in Costa Rica”, explained Christian Díaz, Managing Partner of García & Bodán Costa Rica.

Since its foundation, the objective and vision of García & Bodán has been to be the leading law firm in Central America. Responding to that objective, the law firm decided to consolidate its presence in the whole region, in order to provide its clients comprehensive and regional legal advice, in a “one-stop-shop” format; allowing and securing a single point of contact for the region, all while ensuring the same highest levels of professional and ethical compliance of the legal services that the firm is known for.

With its eighth office, García & Bodán plans to consolidate its regional operation in a more structured way, from both the point of view of services and professional excellence as of the law firm’s regional identity, strengthen a regional marketing and serve the current and potential clients in all the region’s jurisdictions, with the highest professional standards and of customer service.
