Expansion and Improvement of Road CA-5 North in Honduras
Dirección General de Carreteras (DGC) invites to present proposals for the public international tender for the project Expansion and Improvement of Road CA-5 North in Honduras.
The project covers the section Las Mercedes–Empalme Villa de San Antonio, located in the Comayagua. Also, it covers the stations 57+644 y 62+439, having an approximate length of 4.8 km.
The construction contemplates the expansion of the existent road of two lanes, one each way. These will be separated by a median of 1.20 meters. In the intern sides of the road will be built canals of 1.20 meters with a variable depth. On the other hand, on the outside will be built sidewalks of 1.20 meters, plus a green area fringe; in which it is planned the pipe fitting of public services.
Also, it has been contemplated two returns (u-bend), in the stations 1+602 and 3+329. Finally, the pavement structure will be constituted of an asphalt concrete layer of 10cm and a stabilized base layer with cement of 25 cm.
The main objective of this project is that the works to be built are in accordance and that generates an adequate connectivity between the adjacent sections and the ones that will be in construction.
