Construction of National Institutes of Diversified Education in Guatemala
Within the framework of Financial Cooperation between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Republic of Guatemala, the international public bidding of the project: Construction of 5 National Institutes of Diversified Education in Guatemala is opened, which will be developed in the Departments of Alta Verapaz, Baja Verapaz, Jalapa, Huehuetenango and Quiché.
The aim of the project is to ensure that the improved supply of technical education in the diversified middle level cycle in the project implementation region is adequately utilized. In this way, it is intended to contribute to expanding and improving the access of low-income youth, especially rural and indigenous youth, to quality job training geared to the needs of the labor market.
One of the components included in the Separate Agreement to the Loan Contract is access to technical education (physical infrastructure and equipment), which includes the construction, expansion and improvement of public educational centers of the diversified cycle of the intermediate level.
The project contemplates an International Technical Assistance (ITA) made up of experts in planning, design and construction of Educational Centers, in order to ensure an efficient, effective and transparent implementation, which is provided by GFA Consulting Group.
