Another young Nicaraguan benefited with Beca García & Bodán
As part of its commitment with the society, framed within its program of Corporate Social Responsibility, the law firm García & Bodán establishes in the year 2012 the program “Beca García & Bodán” with Universidad Americana (UAM), Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), American College (AC) and Universidad de Ciencias Comerciales (UCC), arising from its trust in the education as the main axis in the development in our countries.
This year, the young person benefited was Mónica Estefani Aldana Gutiérrez from Universidad Centroamericana (UCA); who after a period of interviews and a process of selection from the Partners of the law firm, was chosen to be awarded with the scholarship. The official announcement was given on November 29th of the present year in the installations of the law firm.
Carlos Téllez, Managing Partner of the law firm, expressed: The essence of Beca García & Bodán is to make a contribution, that grain of sand for education matters in Nicaragua. The seed that generated the creation of the scholarship is our vision of encouraging the legal professionals to pursue excellence. Besides academic excellence, our scholarship considers other elements. One of the most important topics for us is the essay; since it exposes the personality, fortitude and vision of the person.
Mónica Aldana, the winner of this year, expressed that García & Bodán had always been a dream. “I used to tell my parents that my dream was to become a lawyer and to have a job here. I am grateful with García & Bodán for giving me this opportunity and for putting their trust in me, for acknowledging my talent and especially I thank you on behalf of all the students of all the universities that participates, because of opportunities like these is why we work hard every day, not only to get the best grades, but also to be humanist lawyers, to move forward and give the best of us.”

For us, is a pleasure to be with you and to be able to participate together in this kind of activities that we believe are very valuable for our young people, for the future lawyers of the country”, expressed Federico Gurdián, Partner of the law firm.
Year after year, the law firm grants scholarships to senior students of Law Degree, through which they will be able to make specialization studies in their respective universities; and contributes to the theoretical-practical education of this young students through internships in the Law Firm.
