The construction of a stadium in Costa Rica is foreseen
Sports in Costa Rica are both professional and amateur and include a wide range of disciplines. The country’s most popular sport is soccer, although athletics is the most popular. Other popular sports in the country include cycling, basketball, boxing, surfing, bowling, baseball, and swimming.
Costa Rica currently has 24 stadiums, of which only six have the capacity for more than 10,000 people. For this reason, the Costa Rican government plans to build a stadium with a capacity for 25,000 people on a site of more than 174 hectares.
This new stadium will have a field, dressing rooms and bleachers, as well as restaurants, stores, a museum, boxes, a meeting place, and entertainment centers for all members of the family. Construction works include free and built-up public areas, such as: sidewalks and curbs, walkways, asphalt streets and parking lots, gravel streets and parking lots.
Estimated cost of investment: USD 29 million
