Tendering and contracting for the construction of the Juan Pablo II Runway in Nicaragua
On March 30th, 2021, the international tender process for the Juan Pablo II runway expansion project and the construction of its overpasses began.
The Juan Pablo II highway, located in Managua (capital of Nicaragua), is more than 10 kilometers long and will connect the northern and southern highways. The tender includes the contracting of sections 1 and 4, Nejapa overpass, to the Rotonda del Periodista and 4, Riguero traffic lights to La Robelo traffic lights, on the northern highway.
The contracting process lasts 6 months and is a project that has been financed with funds from the European Investment Bank, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration and with funds from the government and the Mayor’s Office of Managua.
