Program of Accompaniment and Management of Sanitary Authorizations in Honduras

The health regulation agency is the entity that guarantees strict compliance with health regulations, whose primary purpose is the protection of health in the area of health regulation of establishments and products of health interest to the Honduran population and within its powers are to develop and update the regulatory framework that regulates products of health interest as well as establish mechanisms to ensure the quality of services and products in the market.

The program of accompaniment and management of sanitary authorizations in Honduras is designed to accompany the process of requests for sanitary authorizations of establishments such as supermarkets, convenience stores, franchise establishments among others in order to make more expeditious the processes of management of sanitary licenses this will be in charge of diagnosing, training the applicants and ruling on the procedures of registrations and sanitary licenses.

In order to meet the needs and requirements of the program, recovery quotas are established for services rendered, which vary according to the type of establishment and range from a maximum of 30,000 lempiras and a minimum of 10,000 lempiras for factories, warehouses, supermarkets and other establishments to ends.

And in support of small producers and micro entrepreneurs in Honduras, accessible rates have been established that have a minimum of 2,000 lempiras and a maximum of 6,000 depending on the number of years for which they wish to obtain the sanitary license for establishments such as bakeries, coffee shops and establishments to ends.

The greatest positive impact is that to obtain the licenses the maximum time will be fifteen working days, thus speeding up the production and sale of products for human use and consumption, making a significant contribution to the Honduran economy.
