Procurement of housing construction works in Nicaragua

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) is providing financing for the selection and contracting of companies that will build 381 social housing units to improve the living conditions of Nicaraguan families living in extreme poverty and with limited economic resources. In order to contribute to this improvement of life, decent and safe housing solutions and access to housing financing will be created to benefit 18,660 families through:

  1. 7,000 families in extreme poverty with a full housing subsidy of up to USD 7,000.00, through the PREEPS funds;
  2. construction and purchase of housing for 11,660 households with a combination of conditional credit and subsidies, through the VIDHAS Program Funds.

The Contractor shall be selected in accordance with the procedures of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration established in the Policy for the Procurement of Goods, Works, Services and Consultancies with CABEI Resources and its Rules for Application.

These social housing units will have an area of 36 square meters plus a porch area, fire pit and wet area. The construction of these houses is divided into independent bids, as follows:

  1. Héroes y Mártires de Pancasán, in the Municipality of Matiguas (31 houses)
  2. José Dolores Granados, in the Municipality of Ciudad Darío (40 houses)
  3. In the Municipality of Somoto (70 houses)
  4. Héroes de Nueva Guinea Caídos por la Revolución, in the Municipality of Nueva Guinea (36 houses)
  5. Teresa Gómez Rivera, in the Municipality of San Rafael del Norte (40 houses)
  6. Construction of social housing for vulnerable families of La Libertad, Chontales, in the Municipality of La Libertad (34 houses)
  7. Alejandro José Espinales Herrera, in the Municipality of Jinotega (90 houses)
  8. Carlos Javier Duarte Hurtado, in the Municipality of El Ayote (40 houses)

Deadline for receipt of bids: October 24th and 25th, 2022.
