Photovoltaic Systems for Productive Sector in Nicaragua

The Government of the Republic of Nicaragua, through the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), the National Company of Power Transmission (ENATREL) and the Nicaraguan Company of Electricity (ENEL), has started the National Program of Sustainable Electrification and Renewable Energy (PNESER, by its acronyms in Spanish), through which is being developed the project: Supply and installation of Photovoltaic Systems for Productive Sector Phase II in Nicaragua.

PNESER is comprised by seven components aim to strengthen the rural electrification with networks extension and with the use of renewable sources, implementation of improvements to the transmission system, sustainability of the isolated systems and support to the development of projects and activities of energy efficiency, projects and activities necessary for the appropriate use of the Natural Resources.

The general objective of the acquisition consists in the supply and installation of equipment and materials for the implementation of photovoltaic systems for the water pumping in rural areas of Prinzapolka.
