Investment Project

The Ministry of Education with the support of the World Bank has called for a public bidding process for the improvement and equipping of water, sanitation, and hygiene systems in schools in the Central North Region.

The project will improve water systems in schools and contribute to the reduction of hygiene-related diseases, as clean and safe facilities are important for children to improve school attendance, school performance and education.

The project will be divided into 3 lots; however, bidders may choose to bid for one or more lots. Therefore, bids may be submitted for each of the lots offered (separately) or a single bid containing all lots offered. In both cases, all the requirements stipulated in the Bidding Document for each of the lots must be complied with.

Lot 1:

1. Improvement and equipment of the water, sanitation and hygiene systems of the Centro Escolar Las Pozas No. 2 in Wiwilí de Jinotega.
2. Improvement and equipment of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Flor de Caña School in Wiwilí de Jinotega.
3. Improvement and equipment of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Rubén Darío School in Wiwilí de Jinotega.
4. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Enrique Mejía Sánchez School in Cuá.
5. Improvement and equipping of water, sanitation, and hygiene systems at the Ernesto Gutiérrez School in Cuá.
6. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Sacuanjoche School Center in San Sebastián de Yalí.

Lot 2:

1. Improvement and equipment of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the La Amistad Casa Blanca School Center in Matagalpa.
2. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Jucuapa School Center in Matagalpa.
3. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Cerro del Padre # 3 School Center in Matagalpa.
4. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Adic Venancia School in Matagalpa.
5. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the El Ocote No. 2 School Center in Matagalpa.
6. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the San Marcos School in Matagalpa.

Lot 3:

1. Improvement and equipment of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Gualacatu School Center in Jalapa.
2. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the El Bosque School in Jalapa.
3. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Edelberto Torres Espinoza School in Jalapa.
4. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Centro Escolar Anexo Macaralí in Jalapa.
5. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Cristo Rey School in El Jícaro.
6. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Centro Escolar Anexo el Cuyal in Mozonte.
7. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Bello Amanecer School in Quilalí.
8. Improvement and equipping of the water, sanitation, and hygiene systems of the Caños de los Bravos School in Wiwilí.

Estimated investment cost: USD 55,000,000.00

Deadline for submission of bids: July 25th, 2022.
