Improvement of Potable Water and Sanitary Sewer System in Guatemala

The State of Guatemala, through the Municipal Development Institute (INFOM) will carry out the improvement of the potable water and sanitary sewer system in Guatemala, specifically in the Municipality of San Pedro Sacatepéquez, Department of San Marcos.

In order to carry out the program, the Government of Guatemala signed an agreement with the United Nations Office of Services for Project in order to get external technical support during the execution of the program. Such bidding is of international nature and will be carried out in accordance with the procedures of the international public tender established in the publications of the Inter-American Bank of Development (BID) and is open to all bidders from eligible countries.

The following should be taken into consideration:

  • In order to participate, entities must have at least 10 years of experience in construction works of a similar nature.
  • All offers must be accompanied by an “Offer Maintenance Guarantee” for the amount of Q. 2, 400,000.00.
  • It is intended the construction of a wastewater treatment plant during an execution period of 24 months.
