Tender for improvements in Customs El Amatillo in El Salvador
The Government of El Salvador is the beneficiary of a donation from the Government and people of the United States of America, through the Millennium Challenge Corporation, which aims to contribute to reduce poverty through economic and social growth.
In El Salvador, for the execution of the activities of the donation, is created the autonomous institution called Millennium Fund II or FOMILENIO II. The donation will be used to support the following activities:
- Human Capital Project
- Investments Climate Project
- Logistics infrastructure Project
- Costs of installation of the entity responsible for the implementation of the same
The Logistics Infrastructure Project seeks to reduce transport and logistics costs, both for companies that produce exportable goods and services as well as for the population that uses the roads and the border El Amatillo. For such purpose the process of public tender for the performance of works of design and construction of improvements in Customs El Amatillo is being opened.
The objective of the required services is to carry out all the technical studies, the final design of all the elements of physical and technological infrastructure at constructive level and the construction of the works that are required for the implementation of the project of modernization of the Frontier. The maximum period that the contractor will have for the design and execution of the works is of six hundred (600) calendar days.
The works will be held at the border post located in Cantón Santa Clara, Municipality of Pasaquina, Department of La Unión, El Salvador. It is at 10 km from the city of Pasaquina, 18 km from Santa Rosa de Lima and approximately 208 km from the city of San Salvador.
