Successful closing of anti-piracy case of the recognized brand of shoes Crocs

García & Bodán El Salvador has once again assisted its client Crocs, Inc. in matters of fighting against the infringement of its Intellectual Property.

The legal advice was led by Julio Vargas, Regional Director of the Intellectual Property practice area and Managing Partner of García & Bodán El Salvador, and Alejandro Rodríguez, litigation lawyer. The work started in Puerto de Acajutla of El Salvador, where the border measures were successfully applied. As a consequence, the criminal complaint was filed before the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Sonsonate, where Puerto de Acajutla is located.

After the negotiations with the counterpart, an agreement was reached with the same, then proceeding with the destruction of 20,000 pair of shoes, under judicial supervision.
