Swiss established security document printer Orell Füssli Ltd. Security Printing participated in the tender process “Printing and Supply of Banknotes ” to the Central Bank of Nicaragua.
Founded in 1519, Orell Füssli Ltd. Security Printing is a globally recognized specialist in security printing technology, products and solutions. Its services are unique and customized and focus primarily on the design, manufacture and supply of various security documents (banknotes, passports, identification documents and visas).
García & Bodán advised the Swiss banknote printing house, Orell Füssli, in the tender process for Central Bank of Nicaragua in “Printing and Supply of Banknotes “. A part of the Central Bank’s contract was awarded to Orell Füssli.
During the process, the team of lawyers of García & Bodán provided support and advice based on Administrative Law in relation to the Tender Terms and Conditions, in the preparation and submission of the tender in accordance with Nicaraguan law ensuring a smooth, compliant and correct process.
García & Bodán’s team of lawyers were also reviewing all local and foreign documents required for the submission of the tender. This ensured that the documents were duly and legally executed in accordance with the Base and Conditions and Resolution CD-BCN-IV-1-11, Rule on Procedures for the Procurement of Banknote Printing and Coin Minting, approved on January 31, 2011 and the Base and Conditions. The main challenge was the application of national legislation supplementary to the Tender Terms and Conditions, including the interpretation of the State Administrative Contracting Law, the Civil Code and other Nicaraguan laws.
