García & Bodán has started 2017 with a significant number of promotions, consolidating its specialization in its different offices in the region by adding 7 Associates and 1 Senior Associate to its team.
The firm, through its promotions, has strengthened the practice areas of Corporate and Transactional, Tax and Litigation and Arbitration.
Together, the offices of Nicaragua and Honduras promoted 5 lawyers to Associates. In Nicaragua: Denisse Gutiérrez , Michelle Avilés and Gerardo Escorcia . In Honduras: Astrid Villeda and Gabriela Aguirre. Also in Honduras, Fredy Castillo -who has worked for the firm for over 7 years- was promoted to Senior Associate.
Nicaragua also saw the reincorporation of a Corporate and Transactional lawyer in the office of Managua, María Gabriela Guerrero , and the entry of Francisco Acevedo in the Real Estate practice of the office of San Juan del Sur. They have both joined the firm as Associates.
These lawyers have a great academic profile; having all graduated with honors from their respective universities and also having proven experience in the different areas where they have practiced.
These new appointments come to strengthen even more the presence of García & Bodán in the region; allowing the firm to boast a more solid team of attorneys that is everyday more capable of facing the most complex transactions that are and may be carried out in Central America.
“These promotions prove that García & Bodán is highly successful in recruiting and promoting young talent to add to its team; allowing space for other students that may come to strengthen the firm in a future”, said Terencio J. García Montenegro, Regional Managing Partner of García & Bodán.
