Rehabilitation and Maintenance of Highway in Guatemala
In order to promote investment in the country, public-private partnerships have been developed, consisting in agreements between public institutions and private entities for the development of projects. Guatemala has developed the “Public-Private Partnerships” modality, which mostly focuses on the infrastructure sector. Through this type of alliances, the following project can be mentioned: Rehabilitation, administration, operation and maintenance of the Escuintla-Puerto Quetzal highway with Toll Collection.
This project aims to carry out complementary works of this highway through a public tender, being the Ministry of Communication, Infrastructure and Housing the contracting entity. Currently, the project is in a tender stage. In this bidding event, only national or international juridical persons that were previously prequalified according to the Prequalification process can participate.
Among the documents that must be submitted by the interested parties, construction, contract fulfillment, project delivery, among others, must be presented.
