Mondelez Nicaragua makes sale of property and implements voluntary retirement plan
García & Bodán Nicaragua, through Managing Partner Carlos Téllez and Associate Denisse Gutiérrez, provided legal advice to Mondelez Nicaragua in the sale of a property and assets; transaction valued over USD 4 million.
The work performed involved advice in the subscription of contracts for the negotiation and final sale of the property and assets. All the work took months of preparation under the supervision and support of Melania Calzada, Senior Counsel Caricam of Mondelez International; thus providing a comprehensive advice in real estate and corporate matters.
The firm also advised the company in the implementation of a Voluntary Retirement Plan of over 400 workers; plan that consisted in a number of extra-legal benefits, in favor of the workers of the company.
Said advice, led by Managing Partner Carlos Téllez and Associate Paúl Rodríguez, consisted in support and assist the company in all labor procedures derived of the implementation of the Voluntary Retirement Plan, which covered from revisions and calculations of the severance of law, revision of contracts of the workers, communication with the authorities of the Ministry of Work, negotiations with the union of the company and the same workers, until the determination of the legal and fiscal consequences related to the implementation of the Voluntary Retirement Plan; all of which was carried out with the strictest adherence to the law.
