New Electrical Substations in Honduras

Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica (ENEE), following the Institutional Strategic Plan (PEI for its acronyms in Spanish) of the company, convokes the national and international suppliers to present their offers for contracting 820 MW of energy for the period 2016-2020 of the new electrical substations in Honduras.

The objective of the tender is to contract 820 MW of firm capacity and its associated energy from the set of offers that are submitted and that minimize the provision costs of the ENEE, in such way that the prices reflect the economic convenience of the contracting to the consumers.

It is a 10 years period contract, structured in four sub-blocks (A1, A2, A3 and A4) described as follows:

  • The first sub-block (A1) concentrates 500 MW for 120 months contracts, divided in 470 MW with bunker and 30 Mw with coal.
  • The second sub-block (A2) of 140 MW is divided like this:
    • 110 MW that will be awarded for 42 months contracts.
    • Award of 30 MW of diesel mobile plants, bunker or biomass located in the bajo Aguan.
  • The third sub-block (A3) of 120 MW for 24 months contracts.
  • The fourth sub-block (A4) of 60 MW of 12 months contracts.

The offers will be received until October 13th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
