The Government of the Republic has received two loans from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the cost of the project “Support to the National Electric Power Transmission Program” which includes the construction and expansion of the following substations: Miraflores, Laínez, Toncontín, Siguatepeque, Bellavista and Choloma, the new El Centro Substation; and Construction of Transmission Lines 138 kV: Miraflores-Laínez and Bellavista-El Centro.
The bidding process will be presented according with the international public bidding procedures established in the publication of the Inter-American Development Bank entitled “Policies for the Acquisition of Goods and Works financed by the Inter-American Development Bank”, and is open to bidders from all countries specified in those policies. The bidding will be developed in conjunction with the National Electric Power Company (ENEE) and is divided into three lots, as follows:
- The first batch comprises the construction transmission line single ternary transmission 138 KV between the Miraflores-Lainez electrical substations, the expansion of the Miraflores electrical substation and the Laínez electrical substation, with a delivery and/or construction period of 16 months.
- The second lot includes the construction of the electric substation El Centro, the expansion of the Bellavista electrical substation, and the construction of a transmission line that is simple at 138KV between the Bellavista and El Centro substations, with a delivery and/or construction period of 19 months.
- The third batch includes the expansion of the Toncontín, Siguatepeque and Choloma electrical substation, with a delivery and/or construction period of 22 months.
Estimated cost of investment: USD 1,190,000.00
Deadline for the submission of the bids: April 13th, 2021.
