The Government of the Republic has received a Non-Reimbursable Technical Cooperation from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to partially finance the cost of the Support for the Sustainable Development of Renewable Energies in Honduras (ADSERH) project and intends to use part of the funds from this agreement to make payments under the contract ¨Construction of a Pilot Project for Climate Control with Solar Thermal Energy for the Olympic Swimming Pool of the José Simón Azcona Hoyo Sports Complex¨.
The main activities to be carried out are:
- Final design of the solar heating system for the Olympic swimming pool. Although we already have a preliminary design that is for guidance purposes, the selected construction company will be able to offer its installation with equivalent equipment or even improve the preliminary design, being able to increase the energy contribution by offering more efficient equipment or installing a larger solar collection area.
- Installation and commissioning of the Olympic pool water heating system.
- After-sales service ensuring the sustainability of the work.
- Training of technicians to ensure the useful life of the installations, following the protocols dictated by the equipment manufacturer.
Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures set forth in the Inter-American Development Bank’s publication entitled Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods Financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in effect and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as defined in the Bidding Documents.
