Said project contemplates the improvement of access to potable water and sanitary sewer in three of the most populated cities in the country: Managua, Tipitapa and Ciudad Sandino; being benefited 250 thousand people.\n\nThe main objective of this mega work is to extend the coverage of the sanitary sewer of the neighborhoods of the capital and to extend the capacity of the plant from 182 thousand cubic meters of waste waters to 240 thousand cubic meters per day.\n\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Metropolitan Managua contemplates to connect the sewage of the southern area of the capital, of Tipitapa and Ciudad Sandino to the system of the Wastewater Treatment Plant \u201cAugusto C. Sandino\u201d. The actions to be developed are:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Managua: construction of 26 km of interceptor and collectors, extension of the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant from 182,000 m\u00b3\/day to a 240,000 m\u00b3\/day<\/li>\n \t<li>Ciudad Sandino: improve the quality of treated water of the treatment system and construction of an outlet to discharge the waters into the lake of Managua.<\/li>\n \t<li>Tipitapa: increase the capacity of potable water source from 16,102 to 31,363 m\u00b3\/day and storage from 4,541 m\u00b3 to 9,541 m\u00b3.
