{"id":46334,"date":"2026-09-22T15:31:24","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T21:31:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/garciabodan.com\/?p=46334"},"modified":"2026-09-22T15:40:22","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T21:40:22","slug":"tender-for-the-expansion-and-supply-of-8-electric-distribution-substations-in-honduras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/garciabodan.com\/en\/tender-for-the-expansion-and-supply-of-8-electric-distribution-substations-in-honduras\/","title":{"rendered":"Tender for the expansion and supply of 8 electric distribution substations in Honduras"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Electric Power Company of Honduras (ENEE) has launched the <strong>National Public Tender Process LPN No. 100-003\/2026<\/strong>, inviting interested companies to participate in the execution of the project for the <strong>supply, installation, and expansion of 8 electric distribution substations.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>The objective of the project is to contract detailed engineering services, equipment supply, civil works construction, electromechanical assembly, and commercial commissioning to strengthen power transformation and distribution infrastructure at the selected substations nationwide.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"color: #2263aa;\">Project scope and lot structure<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><strong>The project is divided into 9 independent lots<\/strong>, allowing companies to participate according to their operational profile and technical capacity:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 1:<\/strong> Naco Substation (138\/34.5 kV) \u2013 Term: 15 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 2:<\/strong> R\u00edo Lindo Substation (138\/34.5 kV) \u2013 Term: 15 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 3:<\/strong> Ceiba T\u00e9rmica Substation (138\/34.5 kV) \u2013 Term: 15 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 4:<\/strong> Sulzer Substation (138\/34.5 kV) \u2013 Term: 15 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 5:<\/strong> San Pedro Sula Sur Substation (230\/34.5 kV) \u2013 Term: 18 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 6:<\/strong> Juticalpa II Substation (230\/34.5 kV) \u2013 Term: 18 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 7:<\/strong> Toncont\u00edn Substation (230\/13.8 kV) \u2013 Term: 22 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 8:<\/strong> New El Estadio Substation (138\/13.8 kV) \u2013 Term: 20 months<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Lot 9:<\/strong> Supply of complementary equipment for nationwide spare parts \u2013 Term: 12 months<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"color: #2263aa;\">Main activities to be perfomed by the contractor<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Preparation of <strong>detailed engineering<\/strong> for the electromechanical and civil works.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Supply, transportation, and installation<\/strong> of instrument transformers, power circuit breakers, surge arresters, disconnect switches, control\/protection panels, battery systems, and communication systems.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Execution of <strong>civil works<\/strong>, including earthworks, foundations, cable trenches, control rooms, and perimeter fencing.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Factory and site testing<\/strong>, as well as commercial commissioning.<\/li>\r\n\t<li>Strict compliance with environmental, social, and occupational safety requirements.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"color: #2263aa;\">Bidder qualification requirements<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<ol>\r\n\t<li><strong>Prequalification and eligibility:<\/strong> Bidders must be prequalified in Honduras&#8217; public works contractor registry and must be Honduran nationals or meet the applicable legal requirements for consortiums.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Bid security:<\/strong> An original bid security must be submitted for an amount equivalent to <strong>at least 2% of the total bid value<\/strong> (in Honduran Lempiras), valid for 150 days from the bid opening.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><strong>Site visit:<\/strong> The site visit is <strong>mandatory<\/strong>.
