Vanessa will assume this new role with the goal of further strengthening the firm&#8217;s leadership.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our expert has extensive experience advising national and international companies on the coordination, registration, protection, and defense of their intangible assets. Her notable background includes managing trademark portfolios, coordinating foreign registrations, and overseeing patent applications for inventions, utility models, and industrial designs. Additionally, Vanessa has deep expertise in copyright protection and managing health registrations for food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and agricultural products.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before joining Garc\u00eda &amp; Bod\u00e1n, de Le\u00f3n led the intellectual property department at a major company in the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industry in Guatemala. In this role, she advised all group companies on matters related to trademark portfolio management, copyright, geographical indications, and licensing, among other issues.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vanessa is a member of the Guatemalan Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Committee of the Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce, the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property, and the Board of Directors of the Guatemalan Intellectual Property Chamber.
