This remodeling will be carried out with own funds of DGAC, which will be distributed as follows:\n\nPlacing of asphalt mixture in the active track and quick exits of the air terminal &#8211; Q82.2 million (USD 11 millions).\n\u2022 Purchase and installation of porcelain floor &#8211; Q18.9 million (USD 1.7 million)\n\u2022 Lease of non-intrusive inspection of persons and luggage &#8211; Q13.1 million (USD 1.7 million)\n\u2022 Signaling painting for the country&#8217;s airports and airfields &#8211; Q5.3 million (USD 650,000.00)\n\u2022 Remodeling of 52 toilets &#8211; Q6 million (USD 789,000.00)\n\nThe project aims to provide a better service to the 23 million users who use La Aurora International Airport annually.\nIn addition, they seek the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to raise the airport classification and not lose its status as an international airport.\n\nThe DGAC indicated that in the last weeks of January they will make the bidding competitions public. This will be awarded by means of the qualification that the bidders obtain in the reverse auction, to guarantee the transparency of the process.
