{"id":19449,"date":"2022-09-07T09:50:15","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T07:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/garciabodan.com\/asamblea-de-nicaragua-aprueba-reforma-a-la-ley-de-minas\/"},"modified":"2025-08-11T20:01:05","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T18:01:05","slug":"nicaraguan-assembly-approves-reform-of-the-mining-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/garciabodan.com\/en\/nicaraguan-assembly-approves-reform-of-the-mining-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicaraguan Assembly approves reform of the Mining Law"},"content":{"rendered":"The National Assembly approved reforms and amendments to Law No. 387 &#8211; Special Mining Research and Development Law, which aims to regulate artisanal and small-scale mining in Nicaragua.\n\nThis new reform establishes in Chapter 77 that the powers of the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM, for its acronym in Spanish) will be &#8220;to authorize and supervise the export of minerals by moneylenders and usurers and dealers of precious metals and\/or gems; contracted by artisanal or small-scale miners&#8221;.
