{"id":13083,"date":"2020-10-02T13:33:25","date_gmt":"2020-10-02T11:33:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/garciabodan.com\/?p=13083"},"modified":"2025-08-11T19:59:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-11T17:59:11","slug":"water-supply-and-sanitation-systems-in-nicaragua","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/garciabodan.com\/en\/water-supply-and-sanitation-systems-in-nicaragua\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Supply and Sanitation Systems in Nicaragua"},"content":{"rendered":"The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) grants financing of more than USD 100 million to Nicaragua for the “Project to Improve and Expand Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Systems in 19 Cities”.\n\nThe initiative, promoted by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), will benefit some 348,384 people, who lacked drinking water service, and some 384,652 people who will be able to improve sanitary sewage services in urban and rural areas.\n\nThe installation of these services will reduce the diseases caused by the lack of the vital liquid, will improve the hygiene conditions of its inhabitants, will strengthen the businesses, will favor the medical posts and educational centers.\n\nIn addition, with the support of BCIE, the project will provide the communities with the necessary infrastructure by guaranteeing the construction of 9 wastewater treatment plants with their pumping stations, drive lines and distribution network.
