The objective of the tender is to contract 17MW of electric power and firm capacity, from the set of bids that are submitted and minimize the cost of supply to the Distributor, to avoid an energy crisis in the eastern part of the country.
National and foreign companies that meet the requirements are invited to participate in the supply of firm capacity and associated energy of 17MW for a period of up to twelve (12) months, while the “Patuca III” Hydroelectric Power Plant begins operations, to be awarded in full, by contract and destined to companies with generation plants that offer firm power services, energy and complementary services, to be supplied at the delivery points they currently use to connect to the SIN.
The process shall be governed by the provisions of the General Law of the Electrical Industry, the LGIE Regulations, the Firm Capacity and Energy Purchase Regulations and any other Applicable Law, the resolutions issued for this purpose by the CREE, the Terms of Reference and the Bidding Documents approved by the CREE. All interested parties who agree to participate in the bidding process must know the legislation applicable to the national electricity sector and the Regional Electricity Market. No interested party may allege ignorance of the law.
