International tender: Irrigation systems in Honduras

The design, construction and supervision of several irrigation systems in Honduras, in different areas of the country, is being tendered.

The project is aimed at benefiting the poorest farmers located in the main horticultural areas of Olancho, Francisco Morazán, La Paz, and the west of the country. The basic premise for the selection of beneficiaries will be their socioeconomic status, their experience in growing vegetables and the irrigation potential of the plot. The necessary infrastructure and irrigation equipment will be delivered in subsidiary quality to support production, poverty reduction strategy and import substitution.

The project will be carried out by means of “Turnkey” contracts in lots. A Bidder may bid for one or two Lots, but may only be awarded a Lot. Each Lot includes the establishment of irrigation on farms of producers organized around irrigated agricultural production. The project is intended to incorporate water as an input through the installation and / or partial renewal of irrigation infrastructure on land with variable areas.

Deadline for the submission of bids: July 26th, 2019

Estimated cost of investment: N/A
