The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE), as part of the services it provides to its beneficiary partner countries, is providing the financing for the present acquisition, within the framework of the Improvement of the Technical and Operational Capacities of Puerto Corinto in Nicaragua.
The increase in cargo moved in Puerto Corinto in recent years, justifies the need to undertake a modernization process, which makes competitive the movement of cargo import and export, which requires equipment, infrastructure, technology and personnel.
This project, to be developed in the municipalities of Corinto and El Realejo, Department of Chinandega, aims to modernize facilities, equipment and technologies to increase productivity and efficiency in the handling of ships, loading, unloading, and clearance of goods, and thus create a scenario of greater dynamization of imports and exports through this port.
