Honduras is searching for a new strategy in order to bring a new mobile telecommunications company.
The National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel, for its acronyms in Spanish) is preparing the bidding process for the assignation of 100, 900, and 2500 megahertz, expected to be for the fourth mobile operator.
The principal objectives are to increase competition, to generate income and to decrease prices. Ebal Díaz, Conatel`s head, explained that in the following months it would be performing a prequalification to invite international companies to participate.
Within the investment the new operators have to make is between the ranges of USD 400 and USD 700 million in the first four years.
Estimated cost of investment: between USD 400 and USD 700 million
