Last November 30th, García & Bodán was laureate with the award Nicaragua Law Firm of the Year, granted by the renowned legal directory Chambers and Partners.
The Chambers Latin American Awards 2018, which took place in Miami, Florida, reflect a law firm’s pre-eminence in key practice areas in Latin America and reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service. Terencio García, Regional Managing Partner, Gladys Bodán, Founding Partner, Carlos Téllez and Federico Gurdián, Managing Partner and Partner of the Managua office, respectively, as well as Eduardo Cabrales, Managing Partner of San Juan del Sur and Tola, were present on the night of Friday 30th to receive this important recognition.
Receiving this award has an even greater significance, since it was achieved even with the situation that Nicaragua is going through since last April. “We can’t ask for more, only to continue by this same path to keep obtaining results that are just evidence of our effort. We are a young law firm in comparison with our competition, but is a very clear law firm of where it wants to go, and that is to be the #1 law firm in Central America”, said Terencio García.
On his part, Carlos Téllez claimed: “this award is the sum of many things, first the task force that endeavors each day; our clients that recognize and choose García & Bodán; the vision of the Founding Partners that from the start pursued the mission of being the best law firm of Nicaragua and of the Central American region; and all the Partners that went incorporating and shared that mission and vision. Well, is the sum of factors that, without putting an order of precedence, results of having high-level colleagues and professionals, innovations in the services that have been offered and improved along the time, the discipline and focus in what we do, and very important, the trust of our clients”.
“We trust in God that these blessings that are now received are just an impulse for all the García & Bodán family, acknowledging that without the integrity and work of all and each one of its members, none of this would be possible; and that despite of the difficult circumstances that this year have been experienced in Nicaragua, we see that with hard work and discipline there is always a light at the end of the tunnel that invites us to always keep moving forward in what we do”, concluded Téllez.
“Having received this award means that the bar has been set even higher, for what the only thing we can do is to maintain the level, and try to raise it a little more each day, to assure to our clients a service of excellence and quality; thanking them for the vote of confidence in us for their projects in the country. It also means that we have the route map to repeat this success in the rest of the countries of the region, where we know that there is enough potential to accomplish it, as was the case of our Honduras office, said Eduardo Cabrales.
This is the second award that García & Bodán receives in the year, having received a couple of months ago the award of Law Firm of the Year Honduras by IFLR1000. Terencio García affirms, “these recognitions reflect that there is a philosophy behind our work, and that is excellence. What can we expect of García & Bodán? That we are going to keep growing, that we are going to keep in the path of excellence and that we will continue receiving awards, all in pursuit of satisfying and giving the best service to our clients; always continuing with our policy of recruiting the best human talent in each of the countries where we have presence”.
