García & Bodán has recently incorporated Cristina Mora Granados to its team, who comes to consolidate the Costa Rican team and to strengthen the Intellectual Property practice in the region.
Cristina Mora joins the firm as Associate and Director of the Intellectual Property practice in Costa Rica.
“The hiring of Cristina is really a great addition to the firm, as it comes to strengthen the area as we can now clearly say that we have a robust Intellectual Property team present throughout the Central American region. It is an honor to have her on the team, as she is a person who has stood out over the years for her professional excellence,” said Terencio García, Regional Managing Partner.
Carlos Téllez, Managing Partner of the firm in Costa Rica comments that Cristina shares the clear vision of development that García & Bodán has. “The hiring of Cristina is strategic for our local and regional intellectual property practice. We were looking for a colleague with the professional background and experience to take the challenge of leading our intellectual property practice and it was an interesting task, since in Costa Rica you can find a lot of talent available, and among such talent we chose Cristina, given her professional vision and passion for intellectual property.”
Cristina assures that the market opportunities are unlimited, especially because of the regional growth that can be achieved with the practice in Costa Rica. “We will be able to offer greater competitiveness to clients under the high-quality standards that identify our firm; we will offer that real regionalization because we have a regional IP team of a very high level.”
“The current market is changing, as well as the subject matter of Intellectual Property, which has changed and evolved significantly in the last twenty years, giving rise to a key space in society. We must no longer limit ourselves as specialists to the simple registration and management of client portfolios, but we must expand and be at the cutting edge of the new topics that are being discussed in Intellectual Property, since we are facing a market of owners with an innovative Intellectual Property, for which we must ensure a specialized advisory that aims at protecting our clients along with the good practices that we can implement as specialists in this matter.”, concludes Mora.
With eight offices in the region, García & Bodán continues in the constant search for excellence, selecting the best human talent to always provide the best service to its clients.
