The Honduran Social Investment Fund (FHIS), under the Secretariat of Community Development, Water, and Sanitation (SEDECOAS), has published the national public tender LPN-FHIS-08-2025 for the Replacement of the First Garífuna Hospital, located in the village of Ciriboya, municipality of Iriona, department of Colón.
The project aims to reconstruct the hospital to improve health services and ensure access to quality medical care for the local population.
Activities to be performed by the contractor
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
- Demolishing existing structures that cannot be reused.
- Land movement and leveling according to technical requirements..
- Constructing the new hospital building with all necessary electrical, sanitary, and air conditioning installations.
- Implementing appropriate safety measures and signage in the work area.
- Installing medical equipment and hospital furniture according to technical specifications.
- Submitting a detailed work execution schedule and investment plan.
- Installing informational signs and labeling machinery as per FHIS requirements.
- Complying with environmental and occupational safety regulations throughout the project.
Requirements for bidders
To participate in the bidding process, bidders must meet the following requirements:
- Be a legally established and registered Honduran company.
- Have a prequalification certificate issued by FHIS in the construction category.
- Submit a bid guarantee equivalent to 3% of the offered amount, expressed in Lempiras, with a validity period of 150 days.
- Submit a work execution schedule, detailed plans, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrate experience in similar construction projects by providing evidence of at least three executed contracts in the past five years.
- Ensure the availability of machinery and qualified personnel for the project.
- Provide proof of tax compliance and adherence to labor and social security obligations.
- Hold environmental and construction safety certifications.
Bid submission deadline
Bids must be submitted in physical form by no later than March 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
